'Daejeon Blues,' which poignantly portrays the agony of farewell set against Daejeon Station, serves as a compelling backdrop for the festival. The midnight train leaving for Mokpo from Daejeon forms the heart of the song and inspired the inception of the Zero o’clock Festival. The festival's vibrant slogan, 'Daejeon That Never Sleeps, Fun that never goes away,' aptly complements the diverse 'time-travel' themed programs on offer, allowing attendees to traverse the past, present, and future of Daejeon.

The 'Past Zone' provides a glimpse into Daejeon from the 1950s to the 1980s, offering immersive performances featuring professional actors, enabling attendees to participate in theater events. With a step back in time, guests can relive the memories and gain fresh experiences at recreated venues like the Yankee Market, traditional tailoring shops, the famous Sungsimdang bakery, and music cafes.
