The Yuseong Hot Springs Cultural Festival, first launched in 1989, artfully perpetuates the heritage of the Yuseong Hot Springs and the science-centric city of Yuseong, with a modern twist. As we journey into the year 2023, we commemorate its 28th anniversary.
The festival was inaugurated with an emphasis on the “hot springs”, grounded in the origins and therapeutic benefits of the Yuseong Hot Springs. It orchestrates an array of programs that fuse science and hot springs, thereby showcasing the city of Yuseong.
The Yuseong Cultural Festival is predominantly community-driven, an event shaped and steered by its residents. The majority of the programs and interactive booths are managed by local volunteers, reflecting the spirit of community participation.
Moreover, in response to the aftermath of COVID-19, we are pioneering the implementation of non-face-to-face programs this year. Our strategy is to ensure the safe execution of a variety of engaging and rich events by distributing them across diverse timelines and venues.

Hanbit Beer Festival

The area surrounding Hanbit Tower in Expo Science Park, which played host to the “Daejeon World Expo” in 1993, has now been revitalized as a multifaceted cultural hub for citizens and visitors alike, illuminating Daejeon with vibrant festivals and dazzling lights.
We warmly invite you to the “Hanbit Beer Festival: Romantic Daejeon 1993,” set in the heart of the renowned Hanbit Tower Square in the Expo Science Park. This month-long celebration from May 3 to May 28 offers a feast for the senses, featuring a musical fountain synchronized with magnificent music, a media façade at Hanbit Tower, food trucks serving a variety of cuisines and beers, and a grand beer festival.
Enjoy a broad array of performances spanning genres such as bubble art, indie bands, and modern dance on the stage around Hanbit Tower. In honor of Expo's 30th anniversary, we'll also be hosting performances brimming with retro vibes, taking us back to the year 1993.
