From October 11 to 14, the Digital Healthcare Promotion Center promoted Daejeon's smart medical & bio healthcare technology and Daejeon as a medical tourism destination to domestic and international participants.
Local medical institutions, the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine, bio companies, and healthcare companies participated in the event, which highlighted cutting-edge medical technologies in each field, and the participant response to the VR healthcare device, genetic test diagnostic kit, and AI iris analysis was overwhelmingly positive.
Participating as in-house medical institutions, Daejeon Wellness Hospital, Park Seong-il Oriental Clinic, and Face Plastic Surgery Clinic introduced self-developed medical devices, health functional foods, and healthcare apps, constitutional diagnosis solutions through artificial intelligence iris recognition, and virtual plastic surgery programs utilizing 3D technology. Bioneer, a representative molecular diagnosis bio company in Daejeon, presented its next-generation fully automatic molecular diagnosis platform device for the first time and conducted a diagnostic experience for visitors, diagnosing body mass, skin aging, hair loss, pigmentation, and vitamin C metabolism using only 1mL of saliva and a personalized genetic test diagnostic kit. In addition, it introduced a virtual reality (VR) cognitive test from healthcare companies Looxid Labs and M2S that utilizes brain waves, as well as an eye care device that utilizes VR and AI analysis engines.
